What Artificial Intelligence Can Do?
Understanding Artificial Intelligence;
In general, artificially intelligent systems can execute activities associated with human cognitive capabilities, such as voice interpretation, gameplay, and pattern recognition. They often learn how to do so by sifting through enormous volumes of data, searching for patterns to mimic in their decision-making. Humans will often monitor an AI's learning process, praising positive and discouraging negative judgments. However, other AI systems are designed to learn without supervision, such as by repeatedly playing a video game until they figure out the rules and how to win.
Intelligence is difficult to describe, which is why AI scientists often distinguish between strong AI and weak AI.
Effective AI;
Strong AI, sometimes known as artificial general intelligence, is a system that, like humans, can solve problems it has never been trained to solve. This is the type of AI we see in movies, such as Westworld's robots or Star Trek: The Next Generation's Data. This form of AI does not yet exist.
Many AI researchers consider the construction of a computer with human-level intellect that can be applied to any activity to be the Holy Grail, yet the path to artificial general intelligence has proved challenging. Some argue that strong AI development should be regulated owing to the hazards of developing a powerful AI without sufficient safeguards.
In contrast to weak AI, strong AI depicts a computer with a comprehensive range of cognitive skills — and an equally diverse collection of application cases — but time hasn't made such a feat any easier.
AI failure:
Weak AI, narrow AI, or specialized AI is a simulation of human intelligence applied to a narrowly specified issue (such as driving a car, transcribing human speech, or selecting material on a website).
Weak AI is frequently focused on executing a specific job exceptionally well. While these robots appear clever, they are constrained and limited in ways even the most rudimentary human intelligence is not.
Examples of poor AI include:
1.Siri, Alexa, and other intelligent assistants
2.Automobiles that drive themselves
3.Google lookup
4.Bots that converse
5.Spam filters for email
6.Netflix's suggestions
Most of us know that artificial intelligence (AI) is becoming increasingly important daily. However, many of us would be astonished to hear of some of the talents that AI already possesses. Here are 13 amazing things that artificial intelligence can already achieve right now.
1. Read:
Is one of your goals to save time by focusing on the most important aspects of communication? SummarizeBot, driven by artificial intelligence, has granted your request. Automatic text summarization using artificial intelligence and machine learning analyses communication and gives back the relevant information, whether it's news articles, web links, books, emails, legal papers, audio and image files, and more. SummarizeBot is now available on Facebook Messenger and Slack and is powered by natural language processing, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and blockchain technologies.
2. Write:
Would news organizations like The New York Times, Washington Post, Reuters, and others rely on artificial intelligence to write alongside real journalists? They do, and while this includes numerous "who, what, where, when, and how" formulaic pieces, AI can also produce more creative writing. Many marketers use artificial intelligence to design social media postings. Artificial intelligence has even created a novel nominated for an award.
3. See:
Once computers can "see" the world, see input, and make choices about it, this is machine vision. There are several wonderful applications for machine vision today, including self-driving cars, facial recognition for police operations, payment gateways, and much more. Machine vision aids in predictive maintenance and product quality control in manufacturing.
4. Listen to and comprehend:
Did you know that artificial intelligence can detect gunshots, analyze the sound, and inform appropriate authorities? When AI hears and understands noises, it can accomplish amazing things like this. And who can deny the utility of digital voice assistants in responding to your requests, whether you want a weather report or a schedule for the day? AI's automatic meeting minutes give business professionals ease, efficiency, and accuracy.
5. Speak:
Artificial intelligence can also communicate. While Alexa and Google Maps are useful (and entertaining) for answering questions and providing directions, Google Duplex takes it a step further by using AI to make appointments and execute chores over the phone in a highly conversational manner. It can also correctly reply to the answers of the persons it is conversing with.
6. Smell:
Artificial intelligence researchers are now working on AI models to diagnose ailments by sniffing a human's breath. It can identify aldehydes, which are linked to human diseases and stress, such as cancer, diabetes, and brain traumas, as well as detect the "woody, musky odor" released by Parkinson's disease before any other symptoms are recognized. Artificially intelligent bots might also detect gas leaks and other caustic substances. IBM is even utilizing AI to create new scents.
7. Touch:
A robot using sensors and cameras can recognize "supermarket ripe" raspberries and even pluck and arrange them in a basket! According to its developer, it can pick one raspberry every 10 seconds for 20 hours daily! The next phase in AI tactile development will be to connect touch to other senses.
8. Move:
Artificial intelligence powers everything from driverless vehicles to drones to robotics. Robots that can produce motion autonomously are included in the Alter 3 play at Tokyo's New National Theatre.
9. Recognise emotions:
AI systems that track a person's emotions while viewing videos assist market research. Artificial emotional intelligence may collect data from a person's facial expressions, body language, and other behaviors, analyze it against an emotion database to decide what emotion is most likely exhibited, and then take action based on that information.
10. Have fun with games:
Artificial intelligence isn't all serious business—it can learn to play games like chess, Go, and poker (an astonishing achievement)! And it turns out that AI can learn to play these games, compete in them, and even defeat humans!
11. Discussion:
IBM's Project Debater demonstrated that artificial intelligence can debate humans in complicated areas. It can research a topic, develop an interesting point of view, and skillfully counter an opponent who is a person.
12 Invent:
Artificial intelligence may even master creative processes such as visual art, poetry, music composition, and photography. Google's AI could even produce its own AI "child" that excels human-created rivals.
13. Understand your thoughts:
AI that can read your thinking is simply mind-boggling! It is capable of interpreting brain impulses and then producing speech. Impressive and life-changing for individuals with speech impairments, yet a little unsettling when the mind-reading part of the gift is considered. Unsurprisingly, some of the biggest tech companies, like Facebook and Elon Musk, are working on projects to capitalize on AI's mind-reading capabilities.
Imagine combining these 13 mind-blowing abilities into one supreme artificial intelligence! Is it terrifying or thrilling? That is all up to you, but we all agree it would be wonderful!
